automatically by email or uploading
or just emulating keystrokes ?

is there some software to filter posts for spam, forbidden keywords

Is I remember correctly, yes. You should have a look around the modifications section.

Automatic posting yes. Many options including email are available.
Filter system. There is already one built in with vbulletin, but there's also a few mods also available that may do a better job of it aswell.
