I'm getting kind of confused by all the terms being used in the various advertising/banner ad mods. What I want to do is rotate through banner ads for local businesses that choose to advertise with my forum. These businesses may be owned by some of my members so having their ad show in threads started by them would be a plus. A great option would also be if I could track how many views of each ad have happened as well as click throughs on those ads.

I'm also thinking of adding AdSense into the mix for some variety in the ads that are shown.

I've been looking at vB.Sponsors and vB Ad Management 3.1 but I'm not sure which really fits what I'm looking for. The "Ad Sharing Edition" part of the title is really throwing me off since I don't see any other addition and I'm not sure what the "sharing" part refers to. Any input from anyone?

Forget the 'ad sharing'. I don't use it either. I can't say anything at all about the first you mentioned, but I installed vb ad m a few weeks back and it's been pretty painless.

You also don't have to do all the template changes it details. I only did two of them.
