It might have already been done?

Hello all

This is a mod that might already exist, but I'm having problems finding it!
I have a forum with several different boards on it, and only certain user groups can read and post in certain boards.
Is there a mod where new members can select the user group they want to join upon registration?

Example, new user wants to read and post in board X so he is given this option when he signs up for the forum, he can only read and post in board X from now on, and not be able to read or post in any other boards on the forum.

I hope I have made this understandable for you
