Default HELP!! can't login to AdminCP

Is there anyway to update/change the
-Cookie Settings (ie: vBulletin Options ->Cookie and HTTP Header Options) and
-site URL (ie: vbull options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details)
WITHOUT logging into admincp?

eg: edit those by direct edit via FTP or directly in MySQL ? or something?

--------------
For whatever reason, I can't log into my forums or vbull admincp (NO ONE CAN for that matter). It just keeps going back to the same screen. I did a domain name change and I think its related to not having an update url....but I can't login to change it!!!

any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I've already spent hours and hours on this without any luck... so a way around it (directly to the source) seems to be the only option. arrrgghh!!

Have you tried uploading the tools.php file to reset your cookie path?

And yes, you can always go into the database and change values. I think you would go into the 'setting' table to change things.

nope! not sure how to use tools.php and/or what it does...but sounds promising.

As for the DB ...good to know... but I'm not a programmer, so I'm always paranoid touching the DB. I need n00b directions to go about doing that. Can you tell me exactly what to do with that?

The folder is do_not_upload - This folder contains tools to perform various tasks on your board

* searchshell.php - This file will allow you to rebuild the search index.
* vb_backup.sh - This file will allow you to run a database backup via SSH/Telnet or a scheduled backup through cron.
* tools.php - This file must be uploaded to the admincp folder and allows you to perform certain tasks should your board go down or you accidentally lock yourself out of the Admin Control Panel. This file must be deleted immediately after use or it will cause a SEVERE security problem.

then just log into that file as http://www.yourdomain.com/forums/admincp/tools.php (respectively).
