Hi all,
I am wondering if it would be possible to set up plaintext URLs that resolve to specific subforums. For example, I want the forum: http://www.genericwebsite.com/forum/...splay.php?f=17 to be assigned to the URL: http://www.genericwebsite.com/forum/generaldiscussion Looking forward to hearing whether that's possible. Best regards, Tobias |

This is possible with:
Vbseo, Vbrewrite, ZOINTS SEO, or a .htaccess edit. Edit: VbSEO costs money but, the others can be found right here on Vbulletin.org |

Thanks! So it looks like Vbrewrite doesn't work with 3.6, ZOINTS SEO seems to be a bit oversized for my purpose and I also don't have a budget for a commercial solution. How would I go about a .htaccess edit?

There is a quick and dirty one. ![]() Dates back form Feb 2002 so, unless your really sure you don't want to use any of the other three modifications, go with this one. (Expect bugs.) |
