I have vBulletin, Wordpress and Joomla installed on my website.
Obviously, i intended to use vBulletin for my forum, Wordpress for my blogging and Joomla for my articles, webpages and everything else. With vBulletin, I created a customized vBulletin navbar which can been seen here http://southfloridafusion.com/SP32-20070422-145701.jpg Simply explained, at the top is an advertisement. Below this is the top navbar of main menu links. Below this is my logo and to the right side is the signon screen. Below the logo is the submenu for the main menu links. Then below this are breadcrumbs. 1. Is there a way to integrate Wordpress and/or Joomla with vBulletin? 2. Is there a way to use this vBulletin navbar consistently throughout my website (ie. use it also for Wordpress and Jooma headers)? Simply put, i would like to use this NAVBAR theme throughout my entire website. When they click on the top menu link called "Blog" the signon screen would be specific to Wordpress and the bottom menu items would be specific to Wordpress blogging menu items. When they click on Forum, it would show the signon for vBulletin and the vBulletin forum menu items etc. Im assuming since all three are designed in PHP that there is a way. Just not sure how or where to start? |

It may not be EXACTLY what you want using that nav bar - but I have a Joomla front end, a Wordpress blog that uses my forum for the comments - and I use the same header on all giving it the integrated look... You can theoreticly do the same thing for your site - just takes a little effort. |

Yes, thats what im looking to do. To use the same NAVBAR for all three applications just as you have. The reason being that I like vBulletin for forums, Wordpress for blogging and Joomla for everything else. Do you have seperate signons for each system or are they integrated? Did you create the NAVBAR for each application to look the same or share it across the site? The key with my site is that the forum is for community discussions. but, the blogging and articles will only be for me. So i dont mind having to use a backend signon screen to update the wordpress or joomla content. The critical part is making sure the same navbar is used on all three sections. |
