Usergroup settings. Allowing a usergroup to moderate a forum. permissions issue.
On one of my forums, I want to allow a certain usergroup to moderate a "wiki" like forum.
I know I can click "add mod" but I have over 4000 people in this usergroup that I want to allow to edit each others posts. I know there is a wiki addon, but I want to test it with this fist to see how it works. Before you ask, yes, I trust all 4000 members, and they are all paid members. I only have 4 other moderators on this site, its basically self moderated, so I am not up on the settings for this. Another thing, the usergroup can ONLY have permission to edit other peoples posts in this one particular forum. please help! |

Create a special usergroup just for them.

Ok, my apologies, I thought you were able to do that...create a new usergroup with special forum permissions.

I thought so too.. I guess my idea isn't going to work.
btw, nice avatar. I had one of my bathrooms painted yesterday, an orange color. One of my cats decided to rub its body all the way down it, and took off downstairs. Then it flopped down on the carpet. So now I have an orange bathroom, an orange cat, and orange carpet. |

OMG! LOL!! You'll have to forgive me for laughing...it's not funny...your cat is a total schmuck, but the way you tell it made me laugh! So, does he chew on disposable razors, too? Mine does...crazy mo-fo.
Anyway, sorry I couldn't help you... Looks like it's an all-or-nothing type of deal. |
