User group request for membership
On a forum I browsed lately I saw a function. In the User CP --->Miscellaneous
They had a link to Group Memberships. When you click on the link you get a page on the side. Listing 'The following groups are available for you to join' then listing the possible groups. There is a box besides which you can tick and click join group. A mod later on decides if you are allowed to get that membership or not. I was wondering, is it an integrated function on VB or a mod? If it?s a mod is it available to the public? Below is what I saw on the site: http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/3108/narshowue6.jpg Best regards, clement Thank you |

This is a feature included in vBulletin. There are usergroups called Public Usergroup. If you set a usergroup joinable, users will see what you saw in their UserCP.

How do I make all requests be sent to moderator queue for approval? Once you hit apply you are instantly in. Where is the setting?

On usergroup properties you can set a user to be its leader and I believe that as long as there is a leader, he becomes responsible of approving the join requests.

Correct, assign 1 or more Group Leaders and all join requests must be approved first by these leaders.
