25 threads per page is too little
I've been using this site more on the last few months, and now something got me, 25 threads on forumdisplay.php is too little!
I'd like to suggest for it to be raised, to 40 or 50. |

Sorry but I cannot think of a single good reason to change it, 25 works fine on every other forum I use. I dread to think how long pages would take to load on slower connections if we implemented such a change.

I doubt I would ever change it, but it might be nice for some if they had an option, like you do with posts per page.

Anyone has the option - it's a standard vb setting in your usercp - 25 is the forum default.

Really? I see "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" but I don't see anything about number of threads per page...

Oh yeah, so it is. I guess I should have looked first.

I thought I'd just missed it, lol, you usually know this stuff pretty well

An option to change it would be good though .

Not really, people would be setting the option to 10000 and overload the whole server.
Unless it's a drop down. (10, 20, 30, 40, 50...) |

In my forum I have it set to 25, because when I had it set to 40-50 some users on slower connections were complaining. Heck, at high load times it was slow for me. There is an option (in the Admin CP) to allow users to pick their thread display options in their UserCP, so I offer 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 in a drop down for those that want to display more or less posts...
