Adsense all of a sudden not making money....?

Hows everybody doing. I recently started a site/forum and added Google Adsense ad's on the forum pages to try and make some change towards hosting charges. Adsense was making a few dollars here and there...At one point i noticed there were 2 clicks and like 700impressions and Adsense made something like 2dollars for the day..Granted my site doesnt get all that many hits yet..The past few days my forum has been getting about twice as many hits as it was to begin with and i would say just as many clicks as before...I have noticed that Adsense has not made anything say within the past 4-5days..Eventhough my hits have doubled...I was making a few bucks a day before that and since the hits doubled i have made nothing...

Is there an explanation to this? Does it have anything to do with the rates of my hits and how fast they come?

I'd be interested to hear from an expert on the subject as well. Every now and then I get quite a bit of money one day, and peanuts the nest day for comparable statistics.

actually im looking at it now...my impressions have tripled since last week, i have 2 clicks today and have made $0.00...

No, it does not have anything to do with your traffic. You are just not getting as many clicks, the more clicks that you get the more money you get. It also depends on what type of forum you run, some ads pay higher than others.

before i was even getting clicks Adsense was generating a lil bit on money just through impressions...Now theres nothing between the impressions AND the clicks...

and when you say "type of forum"....what do you mean? What types of forums are you talking about?

I am talking about the niche that your forum is. If its a movie forum than it most likely would not pay as much as a financial forum.

I noticed that when one of my sites was just launched I got higher paying ads than after I was indexed and the targeted ads showing up on my site paid less.
