vBulletin 3.6 Add-ons and vBulletin Updates
Hi everyone,
I was thinking to install this mod: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=119572 on my forum: http://www.twentyfourforum.com/index.php The only thing that is stopping me is that I am scared it will become a problem when vBulletin provides a upgrade (update) Like, changing the template is fine... but, installing a MOD?! Don't people get problems when a upgrade has to be done? (as multiple php files are changed) hope to hear from you all. kind regards, Faisj |

The only change(s) you should have to make when you upgrade, are the template changes, file edits (if any) and you'll be done. You'll most likely not have to worry about the product since it will still be there.
Mind you, if vbulletin changes the code as much as they did from 3.5.0 to 3.6.0 you COULD run into some problems, but I doubt it. |

The mod uses the plugin system, no file edits are involved. Since it's also very popular, it's reasonable to assume it will be updated as necessary for newer versions of vb (by newer I mean version 4.0, not upgrades to the 3.6 series).
I think you mean 3.0 to 3.5 - the changes from 3.5 to 3.6 were minor. |
