I most certainly will not. The idea is to get the community supporting him. That's what we're supposed to do here, right? That's what everyone keeps claiming anyway. Well, I'm giving it a try. So, far, not much luck

I couldn't disagree with you more, their service is phenomenal (when posted in the members area) All but I think 3 mods work here that I have tested, and if they don't work, they are usually supported so that you can get them working. And even besides that fact, vbulletin.org is what you could say a privelage, and not even vbulletin.com 's official website, is it their un-official sister site. Also, if that many skins aren't working, you must be doing something wrong.

Well I certainly appreciate all the comments.
I am not a coder, just an end user...maybe a dummies guide to installing mods and skins, especially dos and donts, would be helpful. It is people like Hambil that make this world a happy place, and they shall be blessed in a special way down the line!!! Following Nexialys' suggestion and Hambil's advice, I have now managed to FINALLY get somewhere, loaded my skin as a child skin, and most of the mods I wanted now work (too scared to try the others). NOW...my last problem is: How do I get to import my users? The reason is that the new DB if again different to the old one i.e. it has different fields! When I try to install, it wipes out the flields which will cause more problems. So...all i need to do, is import ONLY the user fields. I use Navicat in my game server, and find this program the best for MySQL as it is so user friendly, and MyPhpAdmin is no where near the quality in simple functionality. I would like to thank the Lads who were very supportive, truly appreciated. cheers Chuck |

What version are you importing from?

Just a small suggestion: Whatever you do, make a backup first.
PS Moved to the correct forum, as this got nothing to do with vBulletin.org feedback anymore. |

Hi Hambil
Well I lost the 2500 members on my 3.5.4 board. I now have 190 new members on my "new 3.6.4 board" Then I have the working 3.6.4 board. I need to bring the 190 users into the new board..both 3.6.4 I thought of doing this... create an sql of both boards, and convert into a exel worksheet, give each user a new number and match fields leaving fields blank that dont match, then paste the exel into Navicat, create a new sql and replace into my new board...OR is there an easier way? cheers Chuck |

I strnglu suggest against trying to do any manual merging from SQL, as this will for sure lead to only more problems.
You can use ImpEx. I strongly suggest you first do a test import on a test board. PS Why did you create a new board in the first place instead of upgrading your current board? |

Almost all hosting services keep backups. I suggest you ask them right away if they have an old enough backup. Don't wait, every minute could count. Those users may not be lost yet.
