Suggested option on VB.org
I have one suggestion that would help us out a lot. We have many supported hacks on here. Good programmers who have the time to answer do so. However there comes a point where I'm sure they get tired of answering the same question over and over again.
Sure, you can search. This isn't always helpful. Especially when the keyword might be in every thread on this site. Then you try to narrow the search by thread, and come across 10+ pages of people asking the same question and getting answers in no particular order. Besides the programmer or users giving the same answer for the same questions a million times in one thread, could we have a vote feature at the end of a particular post that will state "This Answer proved useful for % of users who installed this hack." I'm thinking. some formula to determine a few things: 1) How many times this question/problem was asked (Sorta like smilar threads) 2) Percent of how many people found a particuar post helpful 3) Post gets bumped up to a sticky post based on votes. Basically it'll be a self born FAQ based off votes from users who got their problem solved. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of variables in this, but do we have something like this in place? If not can it be done? |
