RyanAngel's Journal (3.0) and vBJournal (3.6)

Our site is running VB 3.0.6 and vBJournal 1.1c (by RyanAngel).

We're starting the process of upgrading to VB 3.6 and as part of that, we'll be moving to Kirbys vBJournal for vBulletin 3.5 instead https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=96462

I need to convert all the current journal entries from vBJournal 1.1 to vBJournal 3.5, and make sure that the old entries work and is fully compatible with the new version.

So far I've been unable to find a workable solutuion to this. We tried messing around with JimPort to get that working, but nothing. Has anyone else encountered the same problem and found a solution?

I had the same issue when upgrading from VB 3 not long ago, I ended up changing to zoints local http://zoints.com
and rewriting their import script for journal entries made by the VB3 journal (attached) I used it to successfully import all entries to zoints local and things seem to be good

if you use the script do test it, it worked for me after lots of editing, may give you errors, but shouldn't damage anything, only reads from journal tables and writes to blog tables

oh and you need to add a entryactive column with default value of 1 to the journal_entry table for it to work (or disable that part in the script)
