I moved my board to a new host, because it was a much better deal..
now after this is done, and i dont know what could be causing this, my rss feeds arent working, and im getting script errors using vbug tracker, and downloads II.... errors that were not present before. Does anyone know what could cause this sort of thing, and how i might be able to fix it? RSS feeds are my biggest concern right now. |

well, im almost 100% now that it isnt specifically these two hacks CAUSING the script errors (the script errors are 2 different ones, but both are about something being null or not an object)... its gotta be something else other than the hacks DownloadsII/vBugTracker.
These script errors were not present before, so i know my site was working flawlessly before. The RSS feeds thing is the most important, basically, any forum specific feed wont load. its blank, its not valid, and it wont open in an rss reader, and feed validators also say its invalid. Again, all of these feeds were working with no problems beforehand. im really confused, and this is REALLY bugging me, considering all the work i put into my board making 100% certain i DIDNT have any errors ![]() |

we'd need the exact errors a copy and paste of them to know exactly what they are

Did you copy your exact set of files along with your exact database during the move?

I did......
im gonna try again, and see what happens, but these errors really bug me. Maybe it really is a bug in the mods i was using, and i didnt notice it before... but i would have noticed it ![]() i highly dislike these script errors ![]() |

If you copied the error messages and posted them in this thread it would be a lot easier to help you.

ok.... using vbug tracker lite, when i try to edit a bug, and then press submit i get this error.
document.cpform.description.value is null or not an object Its one of those script errors that pops up when there is some coding error somewhere. I have edited bugs before on my old host, and not had this problem... or maybe i just had "display script errors" turned off. there isnt even a "description" box when editing the bug. As for downloads II its the same error message, except it is when adding a comment or editing one. length is null or not an object. again... totally lost with this... i cant even find a "length" anywhere.... |
