Navigation is worse, the layout is all wrong, and I really think you should give us the choice of the old style
c'mon, tell us how you really feel.

You alter the plugin depending on which one you want as default. Saves having two styles.

Found it!

It's on vbulletin.com too, even though it uses a small plugin:

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=169124

It's not the same one as used here but it will give you the same effect - a user-selectable postbit without different styles for each.

I'm aware, but that doesn't really help when I instictively hover over the breadcrumb in order to get back to forumhome. I don't see the purpose of removing it at all. Was it done just to try and differentiate from the rest? Either way, it's a bad idea. Just because everyone else is doing something one way, it doesn't mean that you have to change it. It just might be that it works.

Sorry, but the old styles are gone for good, they have already been deleted from the forum.

I really enjoy the new styles compared to the older styles. I also understand why you would want one just one style for a site. Managing mutable styles is a pain plus managing one style leaves more room to work on other aspects of the site.

Believe it or not - I know what you mean - I have the same problem on the TAZ forums because their Quick Links and New Posts links are not on the right next to the logout, I instinctivly go there and end up on some Zoints or Tags link. Things are not always the same, but people adapt. I don't think the breadcrumbs is likely to be changed.

The worst thing about the new style is that it is way too narrow, giving it a unprofessional feel. If it was set to 90-95% it would be more acceptable.

There is an option to use a fluid width (100%) in the userCP > User options

Maybe it'll be nice to have that displayed in a more noticeable way. Lots of people seem to be having trouble finding it.
