Upgrade/Database question
I'm currently running vbulletin 3.5.4 and want to upgrade to 3.6.4. I'd really like to install this version and all the addons/hacks like VBA, v3arcade, etc in another folder separate from the running 3.5.4 version and then move it over to the running database. Is this possible? I know I can create a backup of the database and then install the new one but I know it's going to take more than one evening for me to do this the way I want to and by then new posts will have been added. Can I have 2 versions of vbulletin looking at the same database? I'd really rather not throw all my eggs into one basket and in one sitting upgrade vbulletin and hope that it works but if worse comes to worse I guess I can just shut the site down for a few days. Any suggestions?
