Creating a new "Category" for custom profile fields?

Hi

I have a medical forum and added a few custom profile fields for medical information.

Because some profile fields could become very large (25000 characters allowed) I would like to not place them under "additional information" and instead create another "category" ("medical informations") that is displayed in the profile below "additional Information" and "group memberships"

Can anyone help me with this?

I have been reading your post for several times and I think I understood. You don't want just profile field. You want a category for profile fields that you will add, right?

Yes that is right.

Like

"Medical Informations" (Category)

Field9 (custom profile field)
Field11 (custom profile field)
Field13 (custom profile field)
Field14 (custom profile field)

There could be for example a drop down list of available categories when creating a new profile field.

With Category I mean something like "Foruminformations", "Additional Informations", "Group Memberships"
Only the new Category(s) should go below the others and span both columns so that there is more space for long text informations.

Nice thread.

I would like this too, but in addition I would like a field for and admin generated keyname for each field so that conditionals can be done based on keys instead of database generated ID's or user generated display names.
