well, i like how sitepointforums put a message with each sponsor, i'd love to be able to have a similar setup

are you using it in "local" mode and are you using the system to ensure the same banner does not get displayed twice? i have been trying to do this but everytime i put the array into that section which is meant to stop the same banner coming up again i get nothing displayed.

I don't think so... Not sure. That is just category banners on the forumhome page. We are talking about the banners inside forums and on threads that both SitePoint and WebHostingTalk have.

Hi Jeremy, take another peek at the thread and the included screenshot there, it appears there are ads placed inside the forums and on the categories, etc. Looks like Firefly already wrote it and it's implemented at SitePoint, he has them listed as an example of where the hack is installed.

k, I'll have another look, but I know SPF uses PhpAdsNew (modified version) for advertising.
