Cronjob, Scheduled Task Manager & phpAdsNew
Hello Everybody:
Every few months around the first of the month my cronjob for hourly maintenance for phpAdsNew in my cPanel quits working & I'm trying to find a solution to it. Could I take the original maintenance.php file as it comes with phpAdsNew & place it here ./includes/cron/maintenance.php in my vB Scheduled Task Manager & set it up to run every hour with out any problems to vB or phpAdsNew banner server without any modifications to the original maintenance.php file? Since I've never ever had a problem with my scheduled task manager it just seems this would eliminate the problems running the cronjob in the cPanel. |

It sounds to me like it would work, I just need to know if I need to modify the original maintenance.php file? I do not want to cause any harm to my vB forum or my phpAdsNew banner manager.
The phpAdsNew banner manager is in a separate folder in the root directory of my vB forum now. I do know I would have to move the maintenance.php file to here ./includes/cron/maintenance.php Anybody? |
