Hey guys, great news! Just got the email from vbadvanced, they seem to be the ones releasing DChapman's "Zoints Local" script. It is FREE! Gives your profiles the whole 'ajax' style that zoints has.
I'm delighted that it is free, though their demo doesn't show it as fully functional, I can't seem to figure out how to move blocks around when i'm logged in as admin/admin.

Talk about it here, what do you think? Since it's free, do you think it will cause forums to all have 'social networking / myspace-style profiles' and the whole idea of myspace clones will dilute forums? Or do you think that this will help empower webmasters to build more unique networking and profile experiences and enhance their community?
Update: I've been playing around with it, it looks like it is not integrated with the login to vbulletin... so users have to login twice to edit, the profile info seems to be separate as well... so if you alter your vbulletin profile, nothing changes in your 'zoints' profile. Privacy settings dont seem to be accessable, and I can't for the sake of me figure out how to edit the blocks or drag anything on my 'zoints' profile. Argh, looks like this needs some debugging and some work on it, or at least a help tutorial
