Editing members post count?

Group,

Is it possible after a member has accumulated post count to go in and return them to "Zero" or edit it to show a different number?

I have disabled view of post count to all, and allowed post count to accumulate, but if for some reason later down the road I should decide that I dont want post count to accumulate and always show "Zero" posts, is it possible for me to set everyone back to "zero" permenately and if so how do i go about doing it, and can it be done as a mass command?

P.S. I was told this over on VB.Com but this isnt what Im looking for. I want something thats going to change the post counts permenately not temporary with cache as Jake mentions. Anyone know of a way to accomplish this easily?

For one user, just edit the user in the ACP, post count is one of the fields.

The only way you could set them all to zero is as above, and then turn off post counting in ALL forums (it's one of the settings when you edit a forum). Rebuilding the user post counts may still alter them, if it does then there is nothing you can do about that except reset them again afterwards (but then why would you want to rebuild post counts if your not using them ....).

Is there anyway to permenetly edit the post count by editing the table in the database using phpmyadmin?

Im thinking that if there is a table in the database that logs just post count or has a place in it for post count that maybe I could just go into that table and delete the entry for post count?

Would that work?
