Hello everyone, I have a bit of a problem.

My current vbulletin installation is located in the root dir. I would like to move it to a subdirectory called /forums.

What all does this entail? Is it even possible at this point?

I tried getting some support from vb.com and didnt really get anywhere.

I believe that I am going to need some hands on assistance for this procedure. I know what I want done, I just don't know the right questions to ask/information to provide.

Is it possible to arrange some sort of support ticket on this issue? Or perhaps the work of a reputable freelancer?

Yes, it most definately is possible.

In Admin CP>vBulletin Options>Site Name / URL / Contact Details>Forum URL

You will have to make it www.yoursite.com/forum

Create a folder under root called "forum" move all the forum files to the "forum" directory via FTP or your file manager in cPanel.

hmmmm... If I remember correctly that's all we had to do for our forum.

can I get any confirmation on this?

Do I have to do anything to point the db's to the new directory?

Your config file is the thing that points to the database and we did not have to change anything in the config file.

You can always try it, and if it doesn't work move it back.
