Site Fanatic was created to give web developers a fresh, new home to have a good time talking about the hobby/career that interests them the most.
It just launched tonight about an hour ago, so please check it out. ![]() http://www.sitefanatic.com/ |

I dont think you have a lot of forums. I have setup everything i will need w/ only 3 other members registered. I'll add more if needed.

I agree with KSE, I see no issue with setting up forums from the start. It shows what you're all about if nothing else.
Your site loads very speedily indeed, best thing about a forum! Looks nice too. I notice you have the same icons for Hot Threads as for Standard Threads, it might be helpful to either turn them off or use different icons. |

Initial Impression
Upon first viewing your site, I saw your color palette and I really liked it. Your logo is simple, yet pretty. Organization and Feel The navigation is pretty easy with this layout. Your categories and forums seem to be layed out in a logical fashion; however I fear that you may have too many at this point in your launch. Your guest welcome message appears to be vb's default. It does not let the visitor know what your site is all about, or what you wish to accomplish. Most importantly, it has a weak call to action. Offer something in return for a visitor to register. It doesn't have to be materialistic, but it needs to be a nice caveat of some type. You may want to think about merging some of the forums until you have at least 10 topics in each forum you want on the index. One method I've employed is using sub forums. This way, on the index (forumhome), it would appear to be ONE forum with MANY threads. This makes your forum appear more active than it really is. Skin and Modifications Like I said before, your skin is pleasing to the eyes, and is appropriate for your target audience. The only graphics on your forum are the logo and status icons. They don't seem amateur, and that's good. You may want to install a favorite's icon, and not have the default vb one. At this point, I don't notice any modifications. You may want to install some welcome headers, or even a gallery filled with members' screen captures. Guidelines and Staff Your rules are pretty simple and straight forward; but there is always room for improvement. One thing that you could do to kill two birds with one stone, is to keep the rules out of their own forum, and migrate them to another, like your Help forum. Then you would supply a link in your menubar and/or footer. You welcome every member that posts an introduction, which is good. Recommended Changes
