How do I allow User Selection for the word censor?
I asked this question at vbulletin.com and they told me it was a vbulletin.org question.
I have a relatively small private board. We are all adults, but there are a few more conservative people there. Some people also post from work. There is a lot of cursing and I do not want to censor my members, or myself for that matter. I understand that some people think it's stupid to censor words just for some people, but this is something that is important to me at my board. I thought previous versions of vbulletin had this option. Maybe I am just overlooking something. Can anybody help? This was the response I got from vbulletin.com: Quote:

It's possible. I don't know of a quick mod though yet, looking for it myself.

I think you're looking for this Mod by Calorie:
Allow Users to Self Censor Words The problem is though (although, it MAY NOT be a problem) is that there is no confirmation of this Mod working on anything more than vB 3.5.x. I'm still looking at the Mod to see if anything can be done to make it work with more recent versions of vB, but I ain't no coder.! Hope it helps a bit.... PS. please let me know if you, or someone happens to get the Self Censor Words Mod to work with 3.6.x. Thanks. |
