Creating forums directly in MySql?
I wrote a script that inserts forums into vbulletin automatically, with various settings, for testing purposes.
The records insert into the `forum` table correctly, but they do not show up on the front-end or in the admincp... This script deletes any existing forums, but those still show up on the front end and in the admin cp. When I'm in the admincp, if I click one of those forums, I get an "invalid forum id" type of error because the forum is obviously not there, but the forum remains in the list in the forum manager. I restarted IIS and MySql, incase it was some type of caching issue, but the problem persisted. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? How can I create a script to insert a forum directly into MySql? |

The forum information used in most places is stored in the datastore, you need to rebuild that after making any changes to the actual forum table.
