Default Making users Invisible or in Purgatory

Hi.

I want to make a user Invisible, or put them in Purgatory.. that is, they can still post new threads and replies, but only THEY can see their own messages.

Noone else sees them.

I thought I saw an option like this once, but now I can't find it.

Can someone please explain how to achieve this?

Thanks

AdminCP -> vBOptions -> User Banning.
Stick their id in Tachy Goes To Coventry.

Thanks. Got it.

Does it take effect for new posts/threads if you haven't rebuilt forum/thread info?

Do admins/mods still see their posts?

Cheers

I'm not really sure how it works.

Theoretically it should hide the existance of all the user's posts to anyone except mods/supermods/admin.

I do know that if the coventried user posts in a forum a moderator handles, it will show up as "The administrator has decided this member should be quiet for a while" and there is a link to view the post. This shows up for supermods and admins everywhere.
I'm not sure how search and forumdisplay and all that handles it though.

Best idea is just to put someone in coventry, then view a forum and thread they've posted in. Then logout and do the same to see what logged out and non-staff members see.
You could also ask how it works over at vbulletin.com

The biggest problem I have with the Tachy goes to Coventry is that it takes other posts with it. I have recently found myself putting my very first member in the Tachy Goes to Coventry field. Unfortunately though, when I put the member number in it, every thread he has posted in looses multiple posts - ie more than just his.

In one post I had:

User A's Reply
User B's Reply
Problem poster
User C's Reply

When I put the problem posted into Tachy, it took with it User A, B and C's posts along with it. You can see then when you're not logged in, but as soon as you log in (with any user), the posts dissapear.

I wanted to use the Tachy feature as I thought it would be a quick and quiet way to stop the problem poster from making useless posts, but it's caused more of a problem as people are questioning why this is happening.
