How do I get the header on top of a navigation bar like on this board http://www.the-castaways.net/ ? I'm using version 2.3.8.

Well that forum is using 3.5 which doesn't have links in the header.

Well, I'm just trying to get the general idea.. um another example would be http://www.friends-boards.com . They use 2.3.5.

They might have moved it to a new template, is there any reason you cant/dont want to upgrade to a newer version of vBulletin? Makes things alot easier.

Well I'm brand new to vBulletin and I had originally downloaded 3.5.4. and spent a while trying to get the 'classic' theme that is the default on 2.3.8. And some people from boards with similar layouts told me that version 2 was an easier version to modify.

They lied, by leaps and bounds, vB3.x is far easier to modify and work with.

okay i upgraded to 3.0.14.. is there a way i can get a similar style like that now? or at least get the classic style for the board?

You could try my classic style for 3.0.x it should still work.
