Default Development suggestions - performance...
In the process of migrating all my custom pages from 3.0.x to 3.6x...

I have followed the previous guidelines of building a custom page but I am curious if I should really try to incorporate the plugin concept that are available...

Scenario... custom page consists of alot of "containers" that are called by queries within the custom php file... one file contains everything... unless i am viewing the details of a link...

Should i be looking at creating a "New Product" and creating an XML file with my PHP code? Or am I missing the boat on the concept... would the PHP file be used to call the XML?

Just trying to review existing hacks to understand how the plug-in system can help when building custom pages... other than the showing where the user is "online"
