Turn on/off Calendar Custom Fields Display
Can anyone advise me where to look for the turning on and off of display of calendar custom fields, please? If you know how to do what I outline below, any tips would be greatly appreciated too.
I use my vBulletin Calendar for two purposes: as a standard vBulletin calendar on my site and also as the source of data for another non-vBulletin event list on an external site. The external site's event list uses PHP to read the calendar information from the vBulletin database via a port opened by my ISP. This works well. Certain events on the events list need to be highlighted with a different background colour. I want certain users who are entering events information into the vBulletin Calendar to be able to fill out an optional custom field called 'Special' with a codeword which will control the highlighting on the other site (different users have different codewords which create different colours). I have set up the 'Special' custom field okay. However, the entered codeword gets displayed when the event is saved (see here for an example), which means anyone can change the highlighting on the other site. So I want that custom field to be hidden when the event is saved and displayed but still visible when the event is being edited. If the custom field is empty it gets hidden so I know it's possible - I just don't know where or how! I hope you can help - thanks in advance. Phil |
