Problem with quick edit save button
I've pulled my hair out on this so I am hoping someone has a suggestion.
In my quick edit, when I make a change and click "save", nothing happens. The page does not reload. However, I can then click "cancel" and reload the page and see that the change was made. All other quick edit and advance edit buttons work normally. I disabled all hacks and the problem remains. I go to the default template and the problem does not exist. So I know I've likely done something but all of my edit templates are set to the default. Any suggestions? I have little hair left to pull out. Thanks. |

What browser are you using? If you are using Firefox, do you have any program running such as adblock, which may deter scripts from operating properly?

Thanks for your reply.
Since I do use Firefox, I thought you were onto something. But the same problem occurs in all browsers and adding the default template clears it up. So it's looking like a template issue. |

you may have to revert some of your templates...
I suggest comparing your current templates with that of vbulletin's default and see what changes you have made. |

I have the same problem. I think it is not a files problem or a sql problem. The site is hosted somewhere (server1), where the “save button” is not working. Here is what I did: 1. I uploaded to server1 the original files->same problem (using the same db) 2. In my local webserver(server2) I got a copy from server1’s db: it is working. So I am guessing the server1 is missing something.(apache/php problem) Does anyone know what could that be? I cannot read http error log files, because I don't own the server. I have to ask the hosting company to troubleshoot, but I would like to point them to a direction. Regards |
