Help with new forum (PLEASE!)
Hi All,
My name is Gary and I'm in the process of setting up my first forum (www.ls6.com.au/fouum). I have worked out most settings and I had vbskinworks setup & install a great looking skin. Basically the forum has only been live for 48 hours. I have just got a little stuck with the following: 1. I can't seem to block unregistered users from seeing the members list. 2. Can I display a member number is the members list? I have had members ask for a member number. 3. When I post a message there seems to be a longer than usual delay in the editor popping up. I'm not sure if this is related to where I host the site or if I configured something wrong. 4. What is the best way to setup the forums? To explain I have A main group called menu and then main groups as child objects and then child objects in those. I did this so the front page wasn't a long list of all the forum topics, I think I did this the right way? If anyone one has time to help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance, Gary |

1. In the usergroup settings for unregistered users, set 'Can View Member Info' to no (btw, this can be quite annoying to visitors).
2. I don't think you can do that. 3. Not sure. 4. In vBulletin Options > Forum Listings Display Options, set the two "Depth of Forums" settings to 2. |

2. You could ask your Style designer to include the userid. It will anyhow be in the link to the member profile whereever a username is shown.

Thanks for your help guys, it was very much appreciated.
Sorry but I just have 1 more question. Is it possible to set a maximum age as I have already had user putting in fake birth dates? (One user is 96 today) |
