Please fill me in.....
I am about to make the upgrade to 3.5 for a business forum and would like your advice. I have a forum that supports an entire industry and I want to have some neat new features that will keep my members happy, and coming back.
So what are the hottest, and most professional / useful modifications out right now? I will be needing articles, weekly newsletter, links directory, paid memberships with extra features, etc. I would just like everyone professional opinion on what is hot, and useful! Thanks in advance! |

It's pretty simple to figure this one out. Just take a look at all the mods and look at the ones with the most installs.

That wouldn't exactly work for a "business" forum. Personally, I would suggest some of TheGeek's mods (they are reasonably priced), specifically his article system and autolink system (good for perks for paid business memberships)... - http://www.thevbgeek.com
Weekly newsletter? Use a third-party application if it is for business and you want something that works professionally (that's not a slag to anything offered here BTW). |

What is hot or not is entirely down to personal opinion. The 'hottest' hacks list could be considered a guage of general popularity, but again it's up to you look at them and decide if they are appropiate (for instance, you are unlikely to want the arcade).

As far as I'm concerned, Webtemplates is the one hack that adds the most potential to your site.
