It's annoying, but the Guys at my site are making some sota new Stargate Language, and want a l33t converter plugin. If there is an easy way; I'd do it myself.

If you want to work on this yourself w/o creating a mod, one option would be to teach either vBSpell or PungoSpell how to read l33t. Another would be to set up a new language.
