Simple Portal like VBindex for 3.5.2?
I would like a simple single home page "portal" like VBindex (which does not work with 3.5.2).
I just want to display the latest threads, some simple side-blocks, but nothing that's complex to install. Any suggestions? VBindex was perfect for me - what's the nearest thing to that now? |

Which forum will I find it in? (am I alone in finding the organisation of "hacks" very hard to navigate here?) |

Looks interesting, although I thought VB 3.5 was meant to remove the need to change any of the original PHP files? |

Hello,
The modifications to the global.php that brian requires is needed. You can't parse that with a plugin or hook. That adds the portal to the global arrays so everything works properly. It takes literally 5 minutes to setup and install the portal. |
