Why do Americans say "Happy Holidays" instead of Merry Christmas ?

They are probably worried about offending those that wish to replace Merry Christmas with Happy Holidays. lol

Actually after my midnight run to Walmart for a uhhh gift for myself or my lady friend, I think most members must of been in Walmart.... At least the lines seem like it.


Anyone else buying gifts for themselves?

I think they care more about the free days then about X-Mas itself. :P

Because if we say Merry Christmas people will get offended if they don't celebrate the holiday, I got in trouble last year for saying Merry Christmas to a customer even know they said it to me

Happy Holidays is an easier way to say, "Happy Christmas", "Happy Kwanzaa", and "Happy Hanukkah" all at the same time.
