My members are getting a weird error...
Some of my members are getting an error when they try and post:
"The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 5 characters." I logged into one member's account and tried posting myself and I got the same error, clearly when the post was more than 5 characters. I've checked in the adminCP and looked at the user group permissions and it's set for them to post in the forums. I also checked at the user's individual forum permissions and it was set to "yes" as well. What should I do or what else can I check? |

You need to change the character limit for your board.
AdminCp/vBulletin Options/Message Posting and Editing Options/ Minimum Characters Per Post: If this number is set to a value greater than 0, users must enter at least that number of characters in each new post. Note: setting this to 0 will not completely disable the minimum characters per post check. Users must always enter at least 1 character. Change this setting to whatever you what your member character limit to be. Thanks, Itworx4me |

try turning the plugin off and see if it still happens. if not then it's linked to that mod so post in the support thread for it and see if anyone can help that uses it.

hmm ... ok, turned off vdrupal it wasn't that.
It seems like it's something to do with the theme that I have set up, as soon as I reverted to the original theme it was fine. =( anyone have any good resources for theme creation / editing? |
