Option to view merged forums
We have a very active forum that we recently reorganized. We added a subforum for a specific focus of posting and now all threads with that focus are to be posted there rather than in the main forum.
This has upset a good number of our regulars so I am looking for a solution to appease them. My idea is to be able to have the option to view the subforum threads in the main forum somehow. Does that make sense? Those who prefer the new reorganized setup that has the main forum and a subform would simply view the default setup. Those who do not like the division would be able to select an optional view of the forum that merges all threads in the subforum into the main forum threads list. Is this possible somehow? If not can it be made possible? Many thanks! Well duh. I guess what vb.org has here in the way of "Full Releases: Old Layout" and "Full Releases: New Layout" would be what I need. Anyone know how it's done? |
