Database/directory
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question, sorry if it is in the wrong place.
I would like to add a directory to my site (which I'm building with vB 3.5). I'd like it to have a series of catergories that are searchable and be able to update it via a simple form (only available to update by admin though). Is there such a hack in existance or would I need to have one specially coded for the purpose? I realise this is a bit of a tall order as the closest thing I've found to what I am after is the way http://www.yell.com works, so I may be asking for the proverbial rocking horse doo daa. :surprised: Thank you in advance, Hossack |

I haven't had much luck, I've searched around quite a bit. What functions are you looking for with it? Maybe we could get something developed together, save on costs, if it something we could both use?
I think, from what I have read, that it would have to use a MySQL database seperate from that used by your vB, but not having much knowledge with these things isn't helping. Very confusing to be a newbie in this :surprised: Hossack |
