How can I change the background color of the quote area and nothing else? Right now, it's changing other colors on the postbit as well. ; ;

You could try this:

Within BB Code Layout Templates go to bbcode_quote find <td class="alt1" style="border:1px inset"> and change the class to a class of your choice.
