How do I structure new site?
I have a softball site that I want to include a forum, galley, and statistics (league standings & player stats). The site's been running for 3 years but now I want to make it a vBadvanced site loaded with vbadvanced features.
My question is how to structure the domains and databases from the beginning to accomodate growth and ease of use. I want guests to see the main site, with feature story (magazine style), then select area/category (ie. peewee girls Wyoming), and then see a screen that features appropriate story, forum, and gallery. Should each category be placed inside a subdomain? The forum, gallery, and statistics will each have their own mysql database, correct? How best to set this up so users will have one username and password to access entire site? |
