dang it...php_include...help!
Ok, I have searched through the forums.... seen the deal with the hooks, but so far I havent been able to understand it.
I JUST upgraded to 3.5... I had a heavily modified forum... now, I had alot of modifications that utilized the php_include part of the boards... now for SOME reason... vb decided to AXE that template... My question is.. how exactly do I execute that code again? I was told to use global_start.... but I dont see that Anywhere... Another person told me to use 'hooks' but so far I dont see it in any APPLICATION actually running PHP commands. Can anyone please give me an example or where to find this stuff? Someone on vb.com said there was a modification to also execute the old php_include template in the same manner as before... if so where is that? I had a largely modified php_include template. |

You don't need to make 5 threads when you have a question.
Use the hook globalstart. It acts very similarly to the template php_include_x. You can find hooks in your ACP. Near the bottom left extend Plugin Manager, then add a plugin containing your code. |

Thanks Adrian, ill experiment I guess.
About the posts, I had already pm'd a moderator about them, and if you see they all had the same post time. The boards were were running very slowly and the posts never appeared to go through to me. Besides the posting counter would have caught it if it was normal usage. |
