Favorites Icon
Anyone know how I might go about adding a favorites icon?
This site has one...if you need an example of what I am referring to, add this site to your favorites and then pull down the favorites menu...you will see an icon next to the favorites link to this site. Thanks everyone! |

Xtremeoff-road,
What you're describing is a "favicon" -- Just search for that phrase and you'll get a bunch of hits. Here's the WikiPedia link.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon |

Depending upon if you're IE or FF you'll get different results. For example, in IE you won't see it until you add it to your favorites and even then you may not see an updated one until you remove it from your favorites, clear your IE cache, and then re-add it to your favorites. With FF, though, it should always show the current one.
Like mholtum said, IE really doesn't handle favico.ico files cleanly (even though it was a Microsoft addition!). |

Well in FF it does show in the Address line, however, does not show in the Bookmarks. Does not show in IE at all.
Thanks for the help!! |
