Shameless plug for my new project: ThePhotoChopShop.com
I've made the site to cater toward showcasing anyone's 2D and 3D work, as well as website design, photography, video, etc.
http://www.thephotochopshop.com/forum I just got my hands on VB last week, and have had only a few days to really start playing with it. Previously I've worked with SMF, but find it's like modelling with stone compared to this board. I'm loving the flexability... you definitely get what you pay for. At this point, I'm still a rookie when it comes to PHP, but I can kind of scramble through it. I haven't been able to get the main site up, but the forums are up and running. I took the free AlienSector style from AlienSkin.com, but wasn't completely happy with the look or the layout, but it had the basics that I needed to start with, so I've modified the code and graphics to more of my liking, giving it a splash of colour and modifying the original template to fit the look I was going for. |

I think you should work on the forum before asking for feedback, We would be commenting on a fresh forum and there are millions out there.
It is like asking who is the better looking out of the genetically identical twins. |

At this point I feel that I've modified it enough to get away from the original, boxy, monochromatic look - nothing super ground breaking that you couldn't possibly tell, even I'll admit that, but I'm pretty happy with the way it sits right now.
I don't think the overall look will change TOO much.... maybe a couple of hacks or something and a little more refining, but nothing left that's really going to effect the overall layout or style. |
