latest X posts for each section !!!

Hi All,


I started to make a style like this forum home page but, I couldn't make the last 5 posts in each forum section!! I tried my best to find a way to show the latest 5 posts/activated posts but I didn't found it

I hope someone can help me out to find a way to show the latest 5 new posts/activated threads in each section

is there any other way in making this hack ?? like making a speacial hack for this way ??? without andding much more queries in the data base of the forum ??

is this hack related in some how with vb advanced portal Add-On ??? becuz that site as I think has vb advaned on it, and I saw another site has the same modification!!

can you help me out of making this hack/modification on my forum, so each section on my forum will show 5 or any No. I pick to show up ???
