using vb functions externally
i dont really think this is possible but hey..does anyone know if you can include vb functions in a website not part of vb, to display login/private messages etc?

As long as they are on the same server this can be (and is) done. If on multiple servers it is still possible but a lot more work.

Well basicly it is a chdit to your forumhome and then a call to global.php. After that the vB environment is initialized and you can do what you want.
There are many threads on this subject explaining how to do it, there are even some hacks that offer some of the most used functions out-of-the-box. Sorry have no link ready atm. |
