i have a problem caused by my own stupidity.

when i installed vb a few months ago, my host wouldn't turn off a script that was interfering, and eager to start fiddling with things, i toyed with a few bits in the database. i know it's a bad idea, and i've since rectified all of my corrupt files. except postbit.

before i figured out there was an easy switch in the options to turn on legacy, i hardcoded the postbit template as postbit legacy, and now i can't switch back. is there any way i can get ahold of these two templates without reinstalling (i'm really worried i might lose all my changes - which are numerous and painstaking)???

choose "revert" and it will restore it back to it's installed state.

All of the original (stock) templates are still in the database, view the template, and click on show default

unfortunately i can't do that, as i made my changes in the database (i know i deserve a smack for that one) so i think vb thinks it IS the original. fair enough, my mistake.

i've designed the whole board around a legacy postbit and now i've had a request to revert it to the original postbit, and i don't have any templates???

You edited the master template set? I should smack you

if you did. But are you 100% positive its the master one?

For future reference, NEVER edit the vB database. its a complicated beast.

You can go into debug mode (add $debug=1; in config.php) and download a full backup of your template set from the MASTER STYLE. Remove debug mode now.

Ughhh..
That kind of worked, but now i'm getting an error (i've removed debug, etc.)

Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

i know i deserve a smack. i was feeling overconfident and promptly fell on my a*se

i've just reinstalled the config.php file. i'm not sure what happened... but it's sorted now.

Btw, that sort of error means you have white space after ?>

config.php in 3.0.x only has 102 lines by default
