Not sure about pushing it nightly -- 2 times a week would not be a bad idea, per the bi-weekly suggestion.
As for my posting, once ViperHost is fully done, I will be back here and more active. I am mainly waiting for vB3 to get out of beta so I can release template modifications without having to edit them and re-submit them . |

I can appreciate wanting to jump start more participation in the forums - all of us probably have the same idea for our own boards. But weekly updates for the sake of weekly updates wouldn't do it for me.
Maybe my perspective on things may help - I'm not a vB or even a computer wiz. I just wanted to learn enough to build a nice board (with the help of a programmer or two for some of the hacks). Once the board is built, building the business is more important than the mechanics of the board, so getting weekly updates, for me anyway, would be nice for the first couple weeks, then it would probably end up in the trash like almost every other dist list I sign up for. However, what I would find very useful would be email updates that would alert me to truly new template mods - not just a new take on an old idea, but something new that might be of genuine use/interest. I probably have 5-10 total hacks and mods installed on my board (I never really counted), so I wouldn't want to know about every little thing that came out, but the biggies would be cool. That's my $.02, anyway. Good luck! |
