Gmt
I'd like to put the time in GMT for all members, no matter where they're located.
However I don't want to change user specific time zones that show up in posts, and by the "what's going on" section. Somewhere on the main forum page would be the ideal place. This was requested by one of my members, so they can tell other people at what time they'll be in the chat room, stating the time in GMT. I know that the calendar automatically changes the timezone accordingly, but still this GMT mod would be helpful. So basically, a user can say in a post "I'll be in the chatroom at (*looks up to the GMT time on the board and goes from that*) at 7pm. Other users who read this post will be able to know exactly what time they mean by looking at the GMT time on the board as well. Cheers! |

If I understand you correctly, you want to have the All times are GMT +2 hours. The time now is 04:39. to read as All times are GMT +2 hours. The time now is 02:39 GMT., no matter which timezone the user has set.
But all other times should stay as they are. Then try this: In functions.php FIND PHP Code:
PHP Code:
PHP Code:

FIND PHP Code:

Thanks for the prompt response.
I think it'd be GMT +1hr not +2hrs. I'll give this a go and let you know how I get on. Cheers! |
