Showing Post Counts for Forums that are Links
Ok, now I know you may be thinking 'How the hell do you count the posts on a link?!', but bear with me.
I am using vB on our company Intranet, with users from about 10 European countries. I have a forum for each one of the countries plus one for Europe. I place any country/language specific sub-forums in the relevant forum. For sub-forums that are specific to the company as a whole, I place these in the Europe forum, and then create sub-forums in each country which link to the sub-forum in the Europe forum. With me so far?... Now here's what I want to do. Currently, the sub-forums that link to sub-forums in the Europe forum have a dash ( - ) under the Last Post, Threads and Posts columns. I would like to hack vB so that it picks up this information from the sub-forum being linked to and displays that instead of the dash. Has anyone already done this? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about doing this? Any help is appreciated. |

It could be done with a litle hacking.
I would suggest you add a setting to the forum table, to hold a forumid of the forum from which this info must be pulled. |
